Hey...what's with the paper flying around ? And where're my coins damn it ..i want gold coins.

"Step right in ladies and gents , try your luck , cheap lottery tickets with huge prizes ". If you want to be succesfull with your lottery you need to understand that publicity is everything , the more you advertise the more people will buy tickets , the bigger the prize the more money you’ll make. In real life everyone and i mean everyone tries his luck at least once in a lifetime, havn’t you ever dreamed to win a huge prize and go somewhere, or buy expensive things ? It’s the same thing in Anno .

To create a Lottery company you need to go to "My Companies” tab ,then "Open” tab and finallly "Open” new Lottery . It will cost you 10 euro , you will need to have this ammount in your personal wallet.The company will have 1 branch and 1 workplace active.

What do i need to make it work ?

We will assume you have already chosen a name and a description for your Lottery, so the next thing we need to do is to aquire a Lottery means of production , we can do that by selecting the "Machines” tab and then "Lottery Means of Production” tab from the dropdown menu, we will buy one, for our newly created company, make sure you have invested the necessary amount of money first as you will not pay from your personal wallet but from your company wallet.

Next step will be to aquire the raw materials, Lotteries use "Paper” to manufacture lottery tickets , to buy Paper go to the "Goods” tab then "Raw materials” and we select "Paper” from the dropdown menu and buy 20 mp , they should be enough for now , the money will be withdrawn from your company wallet.

We have aquired the necessary tools and the raw materials all we need now is to hire a worker , to speed up things we’ll go to the jobs tab and check the salaries being paid in your current region, let’s assume it’s 2 units, set a salary of 2.1 for your company to get us at top of the list. To do that go to "My Companies” tab then "Management” ,”Administration” and select "Workplaces” fill in the salary and click OK.

Finally the time has come to prepare our first Extractions , keep in mind you can only have 3 active lotteries at any given time, to do that go to My Companies/Management/Administration and select Create new tab. You will need to fill in the following :

Extraction name – use appealing names to draw more crowd.

Winning Tickets Percentage – this dialogue reffers to what precentage of those who buy tickets may win , you can fill in a value of 0 (1 winning ticket or 10%,20%,up till 50%)

Extraction date – You can set this value to 1 up to 30 days.

Currency – In this dialogue you can set the currency of the extraction, if you choose you local currency all the tickets you sell and the prize will be in that currency, same goes for gold.

Ticket price – You can set this value to any number as long as it’s not lower then 0.1 , ticket price will be set in currency you organized the extraction.

House commisions – House commisions represent the percentage your company receives from all sold tickets. Minimum set value is 1%.

Special prize – Every extraction you create you”ll have the possibility to award 1 gambler with a special prize , the amount can only be set in GOLD and will be automatically withdrawn from your company wallet.

Minimum Prize fund – Minimum prize fund represents the deposit the company makes from it’s wallet to guarantee an amount of money. If enough tickets are sold you will be refunded with the deposit made after the extraction.

RESTAURANT

Food is one of the most consumed product in Anno1777, each meal increases your wellness based on its quality. Food provides between 1 and 5 wellness points/meal. You may have maximum 4 meals/day but you can supply your inventory with 12 rations. To cook and sell food you will need a restaurant and raw materials like meat. To create a restaurant you need to go to "My Companies” tab ,then "Open” tab and finallly "Open” new Restaurant . It will cost you 10 euro , you will need to have this ammount in your personal wallet.The company will have 1 branch and 1 workplace active.

What do i need to make it work ?

We will assume you have already chosen a name and a description for your Restaurant, so the next thing we need to do is to aquire a restaurant means of production , we can do that by selecting the "Machines” tab and then "Restaurant Means of Production” tab from the dropdown menu, we will buy one, for our newly created company, make sure you have invested the necessary amount of money first as you will not pay from your personal wallet but from your company wallet.

Next step will be to aquire the raw materials so we can start producing food, Restaurants use "Meat” as raw material , to buy meat we will go to the "Goods” tab then "Raw materials” , select "Meat” from the dropdown menu and buy 20 kg , they should be enough for now , the money will be withdrawn from your company wallet. We can produce 1.5 food rations/1 kg. of meat .

To be able to produce food you will need a license . There are 5 types of licenses each with a different degree of quality :

Food manufacturing license 1 star – 1 EURO

Food manufacturing license 2 stars – 2 EURO

Food manufacturing license 3 stars – 3 EURO

Food manufacturing license 4 stars – 4 EURO

Food manufacturing license 5 stars – 5 EURO

To buy a license for your restaurant go to My Companies/Management and buy the license you want/need.

We have aquired the necessary tools and the raw materials all we need now is to hire a worker , to speed up things we’ll go to the jobs tab and check the salaries being paid in your current region, let’s assume it’s 2 units we will set for our company a salary of 2.1 to get us at top of the list. To do that go to "My Companies” tab then "Management” ,”Administration” and select "Workplaces” fill in the salary and click OK.

Why are branches important ?

If you want people from another region to have access to the food you are selling you need to have a branch open in their area .

Raw Material Companies

Work, work, work.....hey where did i hear that before....

As it is in the real world so shall it be in Anno1777 , everything is created with raw materials , without them economies will crumble and all that we see around would not exist. In anno1777 there are 8 types of raw materials wich are used to build various products :

Wood

Wood is one of the most used resource in Anno1777 without wood you can’t have weapons, houses, means of transportation, means of production or paper . Therefore an investment in this area of the economy will land your bussiness on a safe market. Wood companies require "Wood Means of Production” to function.

Iron

Every house built needs iron , every weapon you will use for wars will need iron , the so much need it "means of production” will require iron , not to mention the "transport companies” , without an adequate transport you may not reach your destination in time . As you can see , iron is one of the main component in manufacturing a wide array of products, you can’t fail here. Iron companies require "Iron Means of Production” to function.

Cotton

Cotton is the main component in manufacturing two important products fabrics wich are required by clothes companies, and paper , required by newspapers , lotteries and trade companies. Cotton companies require "Cotton Means of Production” to function.

Meat & Leather

Without meat there would be no restaurants to cook those delicious stakes . The citizens of Anno would starve , their wellness will deteriorate , and everything will crumble. Imagine a day without food , then 2 or 3 and you will realise that meat is one of the most important raw material in anno1777 economy . You need meat to make food , and everyone needs food. Leather it’s an additional raw material produced by the meat companies , it is used in manufacturing weapons and "means of production” Meat companies require "Meat and Leather Means of Production” to function.

Grapes

The exquisite delights , what can be more comfortable then drinking a good ,old bottle of wine, and theres more, if in real life you’ ll probably get dizzy , in Anno1777 wine will give you huge strength , wich will aid you in defeating your opponents. You can’t have wine without grapes. Grape companies need "Grapes Means of Production” to function.

Fabrics

Fabrics are the main component in producing clothes , you can walk around naked if you want , but who will get those huge bonuses if you do ? Clothes give their wearer great wellness , the better the quality of the cloth the more wellness you’ll get. Fabrics are also used by the "Means of Transportation ” companies. Fabric companies require "Fabrics Means of Production” to function.

Paper

In Anno1777 paper it’s not just a raw material , everything that has to do with newspapers , lotteries or trade companies requires paper. Paper allows people to express themselves , it makes them rich when gambling , and keeps their books in order when trading overseas. Paper companies require "Paper Means of Production” to function.

To open any raw material company just go to "My Companies” tab and click the "Open” tab , all available raw material companies will be listed. Choose the one you want and click the "Open” tab again. Raw material companies do not require a license to function , they cost 10 euro to open with 1 workplace and 1 branch.

Newspaper/Magazine

Everyone has something to say in Anno1777 and the best way to do it is with a magazine. To start this company you need to go to "My Companies” tab ,then "Open” tab and finallly "Open” new magazine . It will cost you 2 euro so you will need to have this ammount in your wallet.The company will have 1 branch and 1 workplace active.

With a quality 1 "magazine mean of production” we can produce 200 newspapers.

We have aquired the necessary tools and the raw materials all we need now is to hire a worker , to speed up things we’ll go to the jobs tab and check the the salaries being paid in your current region, let’s assume it’s 2 points we will set for our company a salary of 2.1 to get us at top of the list. To do that go to "My Companies” tab then "Management” ,”Administration” and select "Workplaces” fill in the salary and click OK.

Now we can finally start writing our first article. Go to "My Companies” tab select "Management” and then "Administration” twice, click on "Compose” tab and you will see three empty spaces there :

There are several stages you need to reach to get your article to 5 stars, assuming everyone will rate your article with 5 stars , the amount of sold newspapers and the number of votes will determine the quality of your article. People that read your article but do not vote will count as a negative vote for your article.

Also don’t forget to set the price of your article according to it’s current quality level , you can do that by going to "My Companies” tab , "Management”, "Administration” twice and then click on "Prices” tab.

How do i open a bank ?

Click on my companies tab .A list with all available companies will show up. Find the bank company in the list and click the OPEN tab , it will cost you 50 euro so make sure you have the money in your wallet. After opening the company we will need to name it, choose a logo, and make a description for it.

What do i need to get it rolling ?

Now that we managed to create are own bank we’ll need to aquire a "Bank means of production” (as tools) and some paper ( as raw material ). To do that we go to the GOODS tab then we select machines from the dropdown menu and finally choose " Bank means of production" , the currency will be deducted from your company wallet, to buy raw materials (paper) we will go to goods , raw materials tab and then we select paper , buy 50 sm should be enough for now.

We’ ve learned how to create the bank, how to aquire the tools and the raw materials, all we need now is a worker to create deposit certificates, current account certificates, credit certificates and transfer forms ( i will detail on these later).

Our bank will start with one branch and one workplace if we want more we will need to pay 1 extra euro for each workplace or branch we wish to create.

What is a branch ?

Each country in anno is divided into regions , if you want your company to sell it’s goods into a certain area you will need to open a branch there and it will cost you 1 euro each those money need to be in your personal wallet not in your company wallet.

Back to our bank in order to begin granting loans or open current account for people we will need those forms so the first thing we’ll do is hire a worker .We will need to check the market salary in your current region. To do that just click on the jobs tab :

Once there we notice that the highest salary in the area is 2.70 so we will offer 2.71 to get us at top of the list.

To open a new branch or a new workplace we will go to my companies tab, administration and then we select branches or workplace tab.

That was the easy part of this tutorial .

A bank uses paper as raw material. Based on the paper, it produces deposit certificates, current account certificates, credit certificates and transfer forms. Each product category is used to provide a specific type of service. Without these items on stock, the bank cannot provide a specific type of service.

Deposit certificates – For each deposit opened at a bank, a deposit certificate is consumed. Without deposit certificates on stock, banks cannot offer deposits
Current account certificates – for each account opened at a bank, a current account certificate is consumed. Without current account certificates on stock, the banks cannot open current accounts.
Credit Certificates – For each credit provided by the bank, a credit certificate is consumed. Without credit certificates on stock, banks cannot offer loans.
Transfer Certificates – for each bank transfer, a transfer certificate is consumed. Without transfer certificates on stock, banks cannot make transfers.

These certificates are made based on the means of production and on the workforce employed by the bank.

Loan Fund

In a bank, the depositors’ money coming from current accounts and deposits are kept in a special fund called the Loan Fund. The bank manager DOES NOT have access to this fund so he cannot withdraw money from the fund unless he previously invested in it his own money of the bank. From this fund, money can be taken for payment of cash withdrawals or loans. Also in this fund are paid all the money from deposits and current accounts opened at the bank. The interests owed by the bank are paid from the company accounts. Also the interests and taxes are charged by the bank are also paid into the company accounts.

Insolvency

Every day, banks pay interest for deposits and opened current accounts. Every day, interest is charged from those who have bank loans. Both interest earned and interest due are paid in the bank’s own accounts. If a bank runs out of money for interest payments, then all affected accounts will be closed, be it deposits or current accounts. Depositors’ money is refunded from the bank’s lending fund whether the fund has money or not.
If a player does not have money to pay daily interest, the money will automatically be withdrawn and the player will no have anything in his account. If the person who contracted the loan refuses to play anymore, and the account is closed for inactivity, the state budget will bear the negative balance. This is the reason why we said earlier that all loans are guaranteed by the government.

Loans

Anyone can contact a credit if he worked at least five days. .
The maximum credit that can be contracted is calculated using the formula Credit = Revenue * Indicator, where Credit = maximum credit that can be contracted, Revenue = revenue from WORK performed during the last N days, where N is the number of days by which the credit will be contracted, Indicator = maximum degree of indebtedness established by the government. The maximum degree of indebtedness represents a fixed percentage established by each individual government. It can vary between 10% and 1000%.
Here is an example. In the last 10 days, player A had an income from work of 400 RON. The Indebtedness degree established by the government is 300%. The player will be able to access a loan of 1,200 RON for the next 10 days. There is also a governmental indicator which indicates the maximum credit that can be taken. Suppose the maximum threshold is 1,000 RON. In the above example, the player may only take 1000 RON.
To contact a bank loan, go to page bank and review the offer.
Any bank can set an interest rate and the period for which the loan is granted. Banks can set up maximum five types of loans. You can contact only the maximum loan allowed. Intermediate values are not accepted. After contracting, the interest will be deducted automatically from the bank every day. Even if you have money in the account, the bank will automatically withdraw money. On due date, the bank will automatically withdraw the value of the loan.
When contracting the loan, money is taken from the bank’s lending fund. But interest payment is made on the bank’s own accounts. The lending fund also collects the money returned at the end.

Current Accounts

Bank accounts are bank instruments through which you can have immediate access to money. You can open a current account from the bank’s presentation page. After opening a current account at a bank from the game, you can immediately start depositing, withdrawing or transferring money. Note that each type of operation is charged by the bank. You can see a list of bank accounts owned on page Accounting / Financial Assets / Accounts & Loans. Also on this page you can submit / withdraw / liquidate or transfer money. Click the button Extract and you will have access to the list of transactions made with that account.

Deposits

Unlike current accounts, bank deposits have a pre-established validity period. During this period you have NO access to money from the deposit. The money will be automatically refunded with interest at the due date. You can open a deposit directly from the bank presentation page. After opening, you can see information regarding the deposit on page Accounting / Financial Assets / Accounts & Deposits. The interest is paid by the bank daily directly into the deposit account.

Remittances

You can send money from a current account in any other account opened in the same currency. You CANNOT transfer the money of owners or slaves. Also you cannot transfer money if you have a contracted loan. To transfer money go to page Financial Assets / Accounts & Loans, choose the account from which you want to make the transfer, click the Transfer button and fill out all information carefully. Transfers are made immediately.

Fees and commissions

Banks can establish their own fees and commissions. It is advisable to carefully check these fees before contracting loans or making bank transfers. The bank offers and collects interest for current accounts and deposits. The bank collects fees for the following transactions:

Cash deposits in current accounts.
Withdrawals from current accounts
Transfer of money from one bank account to another

So ..you want to become a politician , well ..why not , i'll teach you all you need to know.

The world of Anno1777 is divided in countries governed by players who become governers by vote.Each month (on 1,2,3,4 th) in every country elections are organized. To run for office you will need to pay a 5 gold fee and fill in a form , you can do that by selecting the Presidency & Government page link wich will become active during the elections.

As soon as the application is sent , people will be able to review it and if they choose to even vote for you. This application will be a mirror in wich other people can see who you are and what you are trying to do for them so make it convincing. Another way to ensure your succes is by using all media tools available , that includes advertising your political campaign in the local newspapers or buying ads in the game.

The winners are decided by the number of votes each candidate receives.The player with the most votes will become president , the rest of the 18 candidates will become governors. If there is a tie score for the last two candidates the system will decide who gets to be governer by comparing their wellness, the one with the most wellness will win. Once you become governor you will have acces to a special interface , to acces that interface click on the link placed on the lower side of each page called "Government” .

There you will be able to review any laws that you wish to promote/propose. Keep in mind that for a law to pass the voting procces, it needs to be voted by at least 5 governors and to have more people voting in favour of the law then against it. To promote laws go to the Government page link / pass laws section, there you will find listed all the laws you can propose. Laws can only be voted by governors or by the elected president , the president vote will count as 5 governor votes. Each promoted law will be under scrutiny for a period of 24 hours, during this time the governors and the president can submit their vote, if after 24 hours have passed the votes in favour are greater then those against that law will pass and it’s effects will begin immediatly.

A governor or a president can’t resign their office , they may choose not to participate in the voting proccess of laws but they will be stuck in the government until the next elections.To see the laws being proposed go to Presidency & Government/Legislation , there you will find listed all the laws waiting to be passed/rejected, you can comment on them , and you can also see how each governor voted.

There’s a lot to say about politics in Anno1777 , just like in the real world politic is messy , with power comes responsability and there will always be people trying to use that power for their own personal gain. Pass a law to raise taxes or vote for yourself a big salary and people will probably hate you for it , it’s not easy being a governor so choose wisely.

Welcome to the dirty world of politics. You thought things suck only in the real world ? You probably havn’t been playing anno for too long.If you plan on becoming a politician, you’ve come to the right place. This tutorial will bring you a few steps closer you your goal.

To run for the office you will have to have a full profile and pay a 5 gold tax as signup for the elections.

First we want people to know who we are.

How can we do that ?

Media – People read newspapers everyday, your face in an article and a powerfull message can bring you a few votes when the time comes. Give as many interviews . During your media campaign use one short sentence , like obama used "CHANGE” , or "NO TAXES” people seem to like that stuff.

It’s election day – Start sending messages to as many players you can, be brief, no one reads more then 3 lines and don’t spam or they’ll get mad and won’t vote for you, Just present yourself and what you’ll wanna do once you get elected.

When all this fails you can always buy your way into the office. You’ll be surprised how many people will offer you their vote for 1 gold piece. If you choose this method though expect your name to be tarnished forever in the game , the opposition will always remember you how you got elected and why you shouldn’t be in the government. But hey ….you did got elected so it’s up to you to decide wich end justifies the means.

What can you do as a govenor ?

Main role of a governor is to pass laws , there are 19 seats including the president wich has 6 votes , the governor only has 1 vote.

Propose a law to grant high bonuses and lower taxes and people will cheer for you. Be carefull though they will quickly forget all your "good deeds” if the budget runs dry.

The budget is fueled with all 3 types of currency euro, gold and usd , the bonuses are always paid in local currency so if you have gold or euro in the budget you will sell it on the financial market , you can do that as a governor.

The goverment can vote themselves a salary in the local currency it can be 1 usd or 50 usd , but be prepared for a mutiny if people feel you are stealing their money.

Didn't i tell you it was easy ? Just buy some votes , pay some commercials and you'll be a governor in no time.

Real Estate Market

Who says i'm homeless, just so you know i have my own den.

You have finally decided that being homeless is not very pleasant or maybe you wish to start your own real estate bussiness. Houses will always be need it in the world of Anno1777, they wil always be sold/bought or rented , being able to reside in a house can provide you with great wellness and we all know what wellness means – more income .

Before you learn how to sell/buy/rent a house there’s a few things you need to know :

A house is not degradable wich means it will last you forever

You can’t rent a house in another region

You need to reside in the house to receive your wellness bonus

The bonus from a house is not applied to your wellnes instantly but throughout a day’s period.

You can’t live in two houses at the same time

Depending on their quality, houses can provide the following wellness bonuses :

1 star - 5 points of wellness

2 stars – 10 points of wellness

3 stars – 15 points of wellness

4 stars – 20 points of wellness

5 stars – 25 of wellness

To buy a house go to the Real Estate market tab and select the buy house section,once there you will find listed all available houses in your region and their price you can use the star rating system to select the quality of the house you wish to buy , once you’ve decided click the buy button you can buy as many houses as you want , people usually buy more houses to rent them.

To sell your recently purchased house go to Pics, profile & Inventory/transport section , once there you will find listed all the houses you have in that area , carefully fill in the price and click the sell tab.

To rent a house go to the Real Estate tab and select the rent house section , there you will find listed all available houses in your region , fill in the number of days you wish to rent the house and click the rent button. You can find your newly rented house by going to Pics, profile & Inventory/transport section click the move in tab and your done .

Why is the financial market important

Oh...it's you again , let me guess you want to make coins .....nothing wrong with that as long as you stay away from what's mine.

In Anno1777 the financial market is a mechanism that allows people to buy and sell financial securities (such as stocks and bonds) open bank accounts or exchange currency on the currency exchange market. With a very competitive market economy it allows many interested buyers and sellers to meet in one "place”, thus making it easier for them to find each other and trade their "goods”.

The capital market in anno consists of :

Currency exchange market – it allows people to exchange different types of currency (EURO/GOLD or Local Currency) wich means a party purchases a quantity of one currency by paying a quantity of another currency To exchange any type of currency go to Financial Market tab in the main menu and select the currency exchange section.

Banks – allow people to take loans to open current accounts or to make deposits, you can find the bank section by going to the financial marekt tab in the main menu and selecting Banks , there you will find three tabs loans , accounts and deposits.

Stock market – The securities traded on the stock exchange market section are shares wich may or may not provide income to their owners.Finding out wich shares are worth buying may prove essential if you plan on becoming a stock exchange broker. To find the Stock exchange market section go to Financial Market tab in the main menu and select "Shares” tab , there you will find listed all available shares for sale and details like current owner , number of current stocks for sale and the price/1share .To buy shares you need to fill in the quantity you wish to aquire and press the buy button.Share prices tend to rise or remain stable when companies and the economy in general show signs of stability and growth.

Bonds market – Bonds are financial titles issued by the governments. With these bonds a government basically loans money from players. You will receive interests when owning a bond , bonds are guaranteed by the system. Bonds are issued in gold or local currency and have a nominal value of 1. Each day you own a bond you will receive an interest specified by the issuing government. Basically a bond is a formal contract to repay borrowed money with interest at fixed intervals. To buy bonds go to Financial Market tab in the main menu and select "Bonds” section.

What is the Financial Market ?

Probably the place where you’ll make most of your money , if you’re
smart, fast and lucky. "Buying low and selling high” can make you a lot
of euros in just a few seconds , will you be fast enough to buy before
everyone else when the exchange rate drops ?

Let’s say you’re a resident of USA , obviously your local currency
wil be the USD. Before we advance with our tutorial you must understand
that on the financial market we can work with 3 types of currency :

EURO

GOLD

Local Currency ( in our case the US dollar)

EURO – It’s a global market so it’s behaviour will be influenced by every citizen of every country that buys or sells EUROS.

GOLD – Is the second currency in anno. If you
decide to keep your cash in gold you can speculate on the euro market ,
by buying everytime someone sells and selling back when the exchange
rate rises. People usually sell or buy 2 or 3 euro so there’s not much
room for bigger gains.

LOCAL CURRENCY – This is probably the most
speculated market in the game, it can bring huge gains (like 100 euro in
just a few seconds). Imagine someone selling 1000 gold units on the
market the local currency will fall to 3 maybe 4 USD/1 gold . Buying USD
at 4 units/1 gold and selling it at 20 USD/1 gold can bring you a
considerable gain.

Just in case you're not fast enough, and you realise you just bought at
24 instead of 4 usd/1 gold, sell them back quickly and you will only
lose a few "coins”.

Another thing you should keep in mind is that usually countries have a
tax of 1% , wich means everytime you buy or sell something on the
financial market the goverment budget gets 1% of the transaction value.

Publicity and Ads

What do you mean..none knows you ?...ooh i see...let's fix that shall we ?

The world of Anno1777 is very socialy interactive , the more people get to know who you are , the more advantages you will have. Why would i want people to know me ? you may ask, well let’s say you plan on becoming a politician , you will need to be famous so you can get your votes , none votes for people they don’t know , or maybe you plan to open your own magazine and create a brand with your name , you will want people to buy your article and vote for you , you will acheive all this if people KNOW WHO YOU ARE.

What kind of publicity can i buy within the game ?

There are 3 types of publicity you can buy:

Ads on the site

Commercials in newspapers

Signatures

Ads on site

If you want to buy ads in the game you will need to create your own commercial , to do that go to Advertisment/ My Spots/New Ad. You will need to fill in the title, the description, the link and upload an image for your commercial. When you fill in the link dialogue of your comercial keep in mind that any outside links are strictly forbidden.

I finished creating my commercial what do i do now ?

Now you need to place your commercial on the ad section of the game. To do that you will need to buy a spot go to Advertisment , fill in the form and press OK . The form must contain the ad you wish to run , the number of clicks , price/click offered and the countries where your commercial will be displayed.Your commercial will be listed exclusively by the price/click offered.Clicks are taken into account only if the player hasn’t clicked your commercial in the last 24 hours. If a player clicks ten times on your commercial you wil only pay for 1 click.The price you will offer/click will determine if your ad will be listed first , last or even not at all. To assess your price go to Advertisement/Ads/Active Ads , there you will find the commercials already running. Fill in a minimum price to surpass the last offered price this will ensure you a spot .

Commercials in newspapers

Every article issued by a magazine has two publicity spots at the end of it , that’s where your commercial will be listed. To buy publicity in newspapers go to Advertisement/Magazine Ads , there you will find the available spots in any local newspaper. Next to each spot you can find the number of hits for that ad in the last 10 days. Based on these hits you can assess the traffick registered by the magazine. Press the buy button, you will have to upload the comercial you’ve already created and fill in the number of clicks. All magazine ads are payed with GOLD.

Signatures

Another way for people to know who you are or what you are selling is the signature. Signature is a link placed at the end of each comment one makes. To buy a signature go to Advertisement/Signatures , there you will find a list with the signatures being sold togehter with the number of posts made in the last 10 days by their owners. More posts means more exposure. The sistem is pay/click. Price for a signature is determined by the owner. By pressing the buy button you will be asked to fill in the number of clicks you want. After the aquisition , the signature will become visible on the Advertisment page/My ads /Signature. There you will be able to see the remaining number of clicks and you will be able to modify it.

Remember commercials are the soul of any competitive economy, so if you wish to make yourself or your products known you will need to learn how to use commercials to your advantage.

Attack and Defence

I'll teach you 'bout fighting you just keep that mead comin'

In Anno1777 a player can wear/use attack weapons and defensive armour. Each comes in 10 different types .

- Attack weapons type :dagger,mace,sword,spear,flail,axe,bows and arrows,crossbow,gun and rifle.

- Defensive armours type :chainmail shirt , elbow guards, shield , leg armour, arm guards , helmet , gauntlets , breastplate,paulders and boots.

Each weapon/armour comes with 5 different degrees of quality rated with stars, this means with each star, weapons/armours have better durability and will give you more attack/defence points.

Example :- 1 star dagger can be used in 10 fights and will give you 100 attack points

5 star dagger can be used in 50 fights and will give you 500 attack points.

Weapons have a Total Attack bonus and armours have a Total Defence bonus .

Attack Points

Each weapon you have in your inventory will give you bonus attack points ,depending on their quality the sum of these points will be your Attack Points.

Total atack points

Based on your Attack Points and your Wellness the Total Attack is determined. The formula is TA = AP% W where TA – total attack, AP-attack points, W-wellness.

Example – if you have 60 % wellness and 3 weapons in your inventory each with 100 attack points, your total attack points will be 300 / 60% meaning your total attack points will be 180.

Defence Points

Each armour you have in your inventory will give you bonus defence points ,depending on their quality the sum of these points will be your Defense Points.

Total Defense Points

Based on your Defence Points and your Wellness the Total Defense is determined. The formula is TD = DP% W where TD – total defence, DP-defence points, W-wellness.

What good are weapons if you don’t use them in fights, to attack another player go to Fight tab , a list of targets will be displayed choose one and press the attack button , the winner is decided by comparing the attackers total attack points with the defender total defense points.

Example – Player X (attacker) has 100 total atack points and player Z (defender) has 99 total defence points result – player X wins the battle, even if defenders points were 100 he would still lose the battle.

You can’t have two weapons of the same type in your inventory

When a weapon finishes it’s life span will dissapear from your inventory.( depending on it’s quality level each weapon/armour cand be used/withstand a certain number of attacks)

To buy weapons go to goods/weapons and select from the drop down menu the weapon/armour of your choice.

Get your Bonuses

Bonuses are incentives granted by the elected government to players when they meet certain requirements.Bonuses are paid from the budget.The two key elements of a budget are revenues and expenses ; revenues are derived primarily from taxes . When expenses exceed a budget revenues , the governement goes broke, this means that bonuses will no longer be paid until the budget is stabilized. Bonuses in the game are mostly related to players activities , attack bonus , or work bonus for example ensure that players are paid for their activities , if these bonuses were to seize being paid players will no longer be encouraged to attack or work, therefore the economy will be affected and the consumption of goods will fall ,basically that country will freeze. You can understand now why is extremely important for a government in Anno1777 to maintain a balance between revenues and expenses.

There are 5 types of bonuses in Anno1777

1. Attack bonus – every time a player wins a fight he receives a bonus , according to it’s wellness.

Example : if the attack bonus granted by the government in USA is 2 USD and our attacker has 50% wellness he will receive 1 USD for his successfull attack.This bonus is paid instantly by the budget everytime a player succeeds attacking a target.

2.Direct slave bonus ( Slaves owner bonus) – for every direct slave you own the budget pays you a bonus according to your wellness , direct slaves can be aquired by means of attack or by aquisition from the Slave market. You can collect this bonus once every 24 hours by going to the Bonuses tab in the main menu.

3.Referrer Bonus – for every permanent slave you own the budget pays you a bonus according to your wellness. Permanent slaves are aquired when a player enlists in the game through your refferal link or they can be purchased from the Slave Market/ Permanent slaves section.This bonus can also be collected only once every 24 hours.

4.Complete profile bonus – You are entitled to this bonus if your profile/pics is/are fully updated and approved by the government of your country.You can collect this bonus once every 24 hours by going to the Bonuses tab in the main menu.

5.Work bonus – the government encourages people to owrk by granting the work bonus. You will become eligible for this bonus after 5 days of work in a row. This bonus is also paid according to your wellness and is collected automatically .

- You receive bonuses only if the budget is stable, even if you become eligible for a bonus if there are no money in the budget you will receive 0 amount of money .
- There are timed bonuses ( collected once every 24 hours) and instant paid bonuses.
- Each player has a citizenship which determines the currency in wich players collect their bonuses.
- Bonuses are paid without restricting players to a certain location. You can be anywhere in the world of Anno1777 and still be able to collect your bonus.
-There is no limit to how much money you can cash in from the government as bonus .

FIRST DAY IN ANNO

I'll show you what to do

It’s your first day in anno and have no idea how to start making some money. You’re balance is 0 and you don’t plan on investing any money until you figure out the game. Well then we better get to work. We can start attacking as soon as we’ve created the account and logged in , obviously. We can do that by going to the fight tab, a series of targets will be displayed , choose one with strength same as yours and click on the attack tab. If you’re attack was succesfull ( and they usually are) you should have just conquered you’re first slave and also cashed in a bonus in local currency. Each goverment pays a bonus for every fight you win. Our new conquered slave will be immune to attacks for a period of 20 minutes, during this time you could/should sell him on the slave market , so you wont lose it , wich will probably happen sooner or later.

If in your country the attack bonus is 2 USD for example you will get that bonus according to your wellness stats , if your wellnes is at 100% you will get 2 USD if it’s at 10% you’ll get 0.2 USD if it’s at 50% youll get 1 USD.Now you understand why it’s important to keep your wellness as close to 100% as possible (wich will be very difficult, but you can maintain 70% wellness within a day period ). with a full set of clothes , q5 wich means quality lvl 5 , and a rented house that can provide another 5 points of wellnes

Since you’ ve just begun playing your wellnes is probably at 10%, so the only thing we can do in our first day is to attack and sell the slaves we conquered on the slave market. To do that we’ll go to the slave market tab and check the prices first. They usually sell for around 0.2 gold going up till 0.9 depending on the bonus awarded by the goverment of youre country ( this bonus greatly influences the slave market prices , i will explain in another tutorial why).

Let’s do some math now. We can attack once every 20 minutes this means 3 attacks/hour or 30 attacks/10 hours assuming we can maintain a 10% wellness during this time we will gain from the goverment buget 0.2 usd x30 attacks = 6 usd , assuming we manage to sell all the slaves we’ve conquered we will get another 0.6 gold (30 slaves x 0.2 = 0.6 gold) at current rating this means another 13 usd so a total of 20 usd for 10 hours of work in anno that’s not a lot but it’s a start , and don’t forget it’s only youre first day, tomorrow youll be able to buy some items that will increase your wellness.

1. Newspaper – Every time you read an article you get between 0.2 and 1 wellness points based on the articles quality. You can get a maximum of 10 wellness points per day this way.

2. Food – Each meal increases your wellness based on its quality. Food provides between 1 and 5 wellness points/meal. You may have maximum 4 meals/day.

3. Clothes – Based on its quality a piece of cloth can be worn a certain amount of time. Every day you wear a clothing item you will get a wellness bonus based on the type of cloth and quality. Quality 5 clothes will award you 5 points of wellness everyday and will last you for 30 days, a full set consists of 10 cloth articles and will give you 50 wellness every day.

4.Wine – Grants instantly between 1-60 points of wellness depending on how old the bottle is. You can drink wine only once every 24 hours so make it count, it’s usually expensive but well worth it if you know when to buy it.

When we’re done attacking we need to do one last thing and that is to WORK . In time working everyday wil give us considerable amounts of money and an increase in our productivity .

How do i work ? easy .. go to the "Jobs” tab , select the first job available and start working, this will keep us busy for the next 8 hours and will also increase our wallet with another 2maybe 3 USD , salary is related to our productivity , the more productivity we have the more money we’ll get, at 100% productivity we will get 20 maybe 24 USD , depending on what salary we are being paid.
